Use of Multiple Combined Settlement Tracks
If you assign multiple settlement tracks to a master contract or an account, we recommend that the tracks for the master contract and the participating accounts are set in the same way and that their assigned condition types do not overlap.
In the compensation process the system processes each combined settlement track as an independent object.
To enable determination of the settlement results of the participating accounts, the system analyzes the intersection from the following condition types:
Conditions types that are permitted for the combined settlement track according to the condition group type
Condition types from the condition type bundle of the contract relationship
Using these condition types, the system checks all the participating accounts and determines all the account settlement tracks that can contain results for these condition types (on the basis of the condition group type). The system then returns all account settlement results from the settlement tracks determined to the master contract. To ensure that condition types cannot exist in multiple account settlement tracks and be returned to the master contract more than once, there may be no intersection of the condition group types.
The system filters the account settlement results returned to the master contract to determine whether they are relevant for the combined settlement track in question. The results are relevant if the condition type in question exists in the condition group type of the combined settlement track and in the condition type bundle. If the results are not relevant, the system displays them after executing the combined settlement as non-aggregated results.
If you have chosen account posting category 2 (calculate settlement on account and post indirectly) or account posting category 4 (calculate settlement on account and post to master contract) for a combined settlement track, the system posts the account settlement results via the master contract. In this case, the system does not filter the condition types so that no condition types relevant for the account are missing. Since an account settlement track can only be posted completely or not posted, all results of an account settlement track must be posted via the master contract. This means that if the settings for the tracks are not precise, the account settlement results can be posted across the individual combined settlement tracks of the master contract more than once.
