Prerequisites

You have made the following settings in Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM) to enable an early withdrawal:

General Settings:
  • You have executed the activity under Start of the navigation path Basic Settings Next navigation step Business Transaction Categories Next navigation step Define Customer-Specific Business Transaction Categories End of the navigation path.

  • Under Start of the navigation path Order Management Next navigation step Basic Settings End of the navigation path,

    you have completed the Customizing activity Configure Order Category.

Settings for the transaction types for the early withdrawal penalty

Under Start of the navigation path Item Management Next navigation step Basic Functions Next navigation step Transaction Types and Transaction Type Groups End of the navigation path, you have completed the following Customizing activities where you define transaction types that you can then assign to the condition type Early Withdrawal Penalty:

  • Maintain and Assign Transaction Types for Payment Items

  • Maintain Transaction Types for Information Items

Settings for postings on interim accounts

Under Start of the navigation path Item Management Next navigation step Basic Functions Next navigation step Account Symbols End of the navigation path, you have completed the following Customizing activities for posting on interim accounts for account symbol EWD:

  • Define Account Symbols

  • Assign Account Symbols

Order settings:

Under Start of the navigation path Order Management Next navigation step Account Order Next navigation step Early Withdrawal (Time Deposit) End of the navigation path, you have completed the following Customizing activities:

  • Define Number Range Interval for Early Withdrawal

  • Define Order Origin

  • Change Message Control of Early Withdrawal

  • Under Release, you have completed the following customizing activities for the release object OR_EWD:

    • Assign Release Procedure

    • Assign Rules to Release Steps

    • Assign Release WF and Release Procedure WF to Release Procedures

  • Under Business Add-Ins (BAdIs), you can use the following BAdIs:

    • BAdI: Events

    • BAdI: Correspondence.

    • BAdI: Calculation of Early Withdrawal Penalty

Settings for financial conditions:

Under Start of the navigation path Product Management Next navigation step Financial Conditions End of the navigation path, you have completed the following Customizing activities:

  • Maintain Differentiation Categories

    You have defined differentiation categories 006 - Feature and 090 - Origin of Early Withdrawal. You use these to calculate the administration charge.

  • Assign differentiation categories to condition categories

    You have assigned the condition category 115020 - Event Controlled Condition to the differentiation categories 006 - Feature and 090 - Origin of Early Withdrawal.

  • Define condition type

    You have defined event-controlled condition types such as Administration Charge and Early Withdrawal Penalty:

    • Condition type: Administration Charge

      You have defined the following values:

      • You have assigned the condition category 115020 - Event Controlled Condition to the differentiation categories 006 - Feature and 090 - Origin of Early Withdrawal.

      • You have specified how the system calculates the charge amount.

        • Calculation category 2060 - Direct Charge

        • Amount category 115010 - Fixed Amount

    • Condition type: Early Withdrawal Penalty

      You have defined the following values:

      • Condition category 115070 - Early Withdrawal Penalty

      • Calculation category 1030 - Early Withdrawal Penalty

      • Amount category 115070 - Early Withdrawal Charge

      Note Note

      If you set a calculation in the BAdI: Calculation of the Early Withdrawal Penalty, Calculation of Early Withdrawal Penalty that is not based on condition type Early Withdrawal Penalty, you do not need to define any values here.

  • Maintain Condition Group Types

    You need to define a condition group type with condition group category 3 (Events). You have assigned this condition group type with condition types Administration Charge and Early Withdrawal Penalty as a selection list.

    Note Note

    You have defined the condition groups on the SAP Easy Access screen, under Start of the navigation path Financial Services Next navigation step Account Management Next navigation step Current Settings End of the navigation path (see Current Settings for Early Withdrawal).

  • Transaction types for transaction and event charges

    If you have defined the early withdrawal penalty as information item using the BAdI: Calculation of the Early Withdrawal Penalty, you must have assigned the relevant transaction type to the early withdrawal penalty for the posting to accounts.

    Note Note

    To restrict the early withdrawal penalty to the credit interest amount, you have completed the Customizing activity Assign Condition Types for Accrual/Clearing of Info Items.

Settings for product attributes:

Under Start of the navigation path Product Management Next navigation step Product Definition Next navigation step Account Products End of the navigation path, you have completed the Customizing activities Create Account Product or Change Account Product. You have selected the following attributes under the Start of the navigation path Time Deposit Next navigation step Early Withdrawal for Time Deposits End of the navigation path feature:

  • Withdrawal category

  • Origin

  • Notice reason

    You use the notice reason for an early, full withdrawal with account closure. Therefore, define only one notice reason that is not assigned with a notice period.

    Note Note

    In the Customizing activity Create Account Product or Change Account Product, you select the notice reason in product attribute Notice Reason under the Start of the navigation path Account Closure Next navigation step Notice Rules End of the navigation path feature.

Settings for payment advice:

Under Start of the navigation path Product Management Next navigation step Payment Advice End of the navigation path, you have completed the following Customizing activities:

  • Edit Business Processes

  • Assign Process Result Category

  • Edit Process Result Type

  • Edit Settings for Payment Advice

Settings for correspondence:
  • To create correspondence for early withdrawal, you need to complete the Customizing activities under Start of the navigation path Tools Next navigation step Correspondence End of the navigation path in Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM).

  • You can use correspondence type BA65 and you can use the correspondence form BCA_BANK_EWD_BA65_PDF as a template.
