Procedure documentationEditing the Determination of Pricing Criteria

On the Determination of Pricing Criteria tab page you can define the basic data and the time periods for the determination of pricing criteria. When you execute the report Determine and Distribute Pricing Criteria, the system determines the pricing criteria for due master contracts for the determination of pricing criteria on the basis of this data.

For more information, see Determination and Distribution of Pricing Criteria.

Prerequisites

  • In Customizing for Master Contract Management, you have chosen Start of the navigation path Product Management Next navigation step Product Definition Next navigation step Master Contract Products End of the navigation path and activated the Determination of Pricing Criteria feature for the underlying master contract product and made the relevant settings for the feature attribute.

  • In Customizing for Master Contract Management you have chosen Start of the navigation path Master Contract Applications Next navigation step Pricing Criteria Determined Next navigation step Define Benefit Levels End of the navigation path and defined benefit levels.

  • You have neither deactivated nor locked the Pricing Criteria feature in the master contract on the Features tab page.

For more information about the prerequisites for using this component, see Determination of Pricing Criteria (FS-MCM-PCD).

Procedure

You can change the values predefined in the product definition:

  1. To change the time interval between the contract start date and the first determination and distribution of pricing criteria, enter a new factor and unit for the qualifying period.

    Note Note

During the qualifying period, the preset values from the product definition apply for the benefit criterion and the benefit level to define the prices at contract level.

    End of the note.
  2. Edit the benefit criterion and the benefit level.

Before you can enter or change a benefit level, the Benefit Criterion indicator must be set.

  3. Enter the required data for the time periods for the determination of pricing criteria.

The system dynamically adjusts the next execution date for the determination of pricing criteria in accordance with the time periods entered.

    Note Note

If the indicator is set in the Immediately Include Change to Determination of Pricing Criteria attribute in the master contract product, changes to the qualifying period apply immediately. In this case, the system immediately recalculates the next execution date for the determination of pricing criteria. If the indicator is not set, the system does not calculate the next execution date until you start the report Determine and Distribute Pricing Criteria (transaction /FSPAC/PC_RUN).

    End of the note.
  4. Save the master contract.

Result

You have defined the data for the determination of pricing criteria.

Example

You wish to determine the pricing criteria for a master contract every year, with a qualifying period of three months.

In the product definition, store the following data for the determination of pricing criteria:

Factor for the qualifying period

Unit for the qualifying period

Period factor

Period unit

Day of month

Key date = working day

Start date

3

Month

1

Month

15

-

01.01.2000

If you create the master contract for the determination of pricing criteria on May 15, 2010, the system determines the pricing criteria for the first time on August 30, 2010. Until this date, the customer receives the benefits according to the values preset in the product for the benefit criterion and the benefit level. Once the report has determined the pricing criteria for the first time, the system determines the pricing criteria every month on 15th.
