Background documentationTime-Dependent Editing of Contract Relationships

In the standard system, you can execute the following actions for all points in time of the contract:

  • Add participants

  • Remove participants

  • Change participants

  • Change participant attributes

However, restrictions are possible depending on the master contract application. For more information, see the documentation of the master contract applications.

Notes about Changing Participant Attributes

You can change the attributes of a participant (for example, the transfer amount) and specify when this is to apply by specifying a Valid On date.

Note Note

Note that a new entry or change is valid only until a future entry becomes valid.

If the changed attributes are to be indefinitely valid, you need to overwrite all future changes. You need to set a corresponding indicator in the BAPI and direct input channels. You need to answer a query in the dialog processing.

End of the note.

Once you have assigned attributes to a participant, you can only change these, not remove them.

Example

Today's date is December 22, 2007.

  1. First you assign a participant of the master contract with a committed limit of CHF 1000 from the Valid On date of January 1, 2008.

  2. Next, you increase the committed limit to CHF 2000 from July 1, 2008.

  3. Thirdly, you reduce the committed limit to CHF 500 on March 1, 2008.

If you do not specify in the dialog that the third step is to overwrite the changes in the second step, the system reduces the committed limit to CHF 500 in the third step for the time from March 1 - March 6, 2008 to CHF 500.
