Correspondence Type
Key with which a correspondence type is defined with the corresponding control attributes. A correspondence type specifies written communications of the same category.
The correspondence type defines which data is saved to the buffer in the correspondence request during correspondence generation. When you execute the correspondence print run, the system accesses this data.
Correspondence types are predefined in the system and cannot be changed. However, you can define your own additional correspondence types.
You can make settings for correspondence types in Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM)
. Choose .
The following correspondence types are available to you in Account Management (FS-AM)

Change individual conditions
Conditions are the basis for settlement during account settlements for payment transactions. They control interest calculation, charge debiting, and the value date options.
Individual conditions are conditions that always only apply for one account.
You can change individual conditions on the Financial Conditions tab page. On the SAP Easy Access
screen, choose or Change Account
.
Limits
Limits control to what extent an account can be overdrawn. You can generate correspondence for the correspondence types listed below:
Grant credit limit
Reduce credit limit
Delete credit limit
You can edit limits on the Limits
tab page. On the SAP Easy Access
screen, choose or Change Account
.
Account Closure
If the customer so wishes, you can create a letter of confirmation in the case of a requested account closure or deactivation of an account. If the bank triggers a closure, the customer is always informed accordingly. This notification is sent to the account holder.
You can generate the following correspondence in the context of an account closure:

Execute account closure
Reverse account closure
To edit account closures, on the SAP Easy Access

Account product change - confirmation of execution
Used to map the transition of a source product to a target product for an account. For a product change, the history and central data, such as the account number and account holder, remain the same.

Account holder change
You can generate correspondence for an account holder change both before and after the change.
To edit an account holder change, on the SAP Easy Access
screen, choose .
Notice on amount
The following correspondence types can be generated for notice on amount:
Activate notice on amount
Deactivate notice on amount
To edit notices on amount, on the SAP Easy Access
screen, choose .
Time deposits
The following correspondence types can be generated for time deposits:
Confirmation of new creation (creation of a new time deposit agreement)
Notice of maturity (call date of time deposit in a few days time)
Confirmation of reinvestment (creation of a follow-on agreement)
Confirmation of settlement (call date of a time deposit)
To edit time deposits, on the SAP Easy Access

Savings scheme
The following correspondence types can be generated for savings schemes:
Monitoring
Reminder letter (reminder for a due installment payment)
Dunning letter (dunning notice due to an unpaid installment)
Overpayment (information that a higher amount was paid than the agreed installment)
To have the due dates of installment agreements displayed, on the SAP Easy Access
screen, choose .

Notification of end of payment phase
Notification of end of savings scheme
End notification (information about the actions carried out at the end of the savings scheme)
To create correspondence during the term of a savings scheme, on the SAP Easy Access
screen, choose .
Payment items
You use payment items to enter one-sided postings, such as cash deposits or debit memo collections. Payment items can also be generated by the posting of payment orders.
Correspondence for payment items is controlled by events only.
Returns/dishonored items (target-side confirmations of non-execution)
Examples of returns include:
Dishonored checks
Dishonored debits
Returns
Returns describe the options a bank has to return payment items that have already been posted on customer or CpD (suspense) accounts, but that it does not want to accept. (Example: returned debit, returned check)
Bank statement
Bank statements provide customers with comprehensive information about all turnovers and balances incurred, including account settlements.
A regular bank statement is generated periodically during a mass run and provides details of a customer's receivables, liabilities, and balances, in regular, recurring intervals.
An event-controlled bank statement is not created periodically, but always triggered by a posting or a business-related event, such as the return of a debit memo.
Annual interest statement
Notification to a borrower to inform about the total of interest paid during the current year, for example.

Balance confirmation
A balance confirmation contains the posting date-based account balance of an account contract. The balance is formed on the basis of the open items. To generate balance confirmations, on the SAP Easy Access
screen, choose .

Standing orders are payment orders that are executed regularly on a certain date, with a certain amount and in favor of one or more certain recipients.
