Example documentationExample: Participating Accounts in Multiple Logical Systems

You can use different logical systems to manage your accounts that are participating in a master contract:

A main master contract that has the Facilities feature and its participant master contracts are in Master Contract Management in the KO5CLNT500 system. The participant accounts of the master contracts are distributed between Account Management in the system KO5CLNT500 (and in the same logical system as the master contracts), and Account Management in the system KO5CLNT510.

Prerequisites

  • In Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM) of the logical system that does not have any master contracts (in the example, in KO5CLNT510) under Start of the navigation path Communication with Logical Systems Next navigation step Master Contract Next navigation step Define Master Contract-Managing System End of the navigation path, you have specified the logical system in which you manage your master contracts (in the example, in KO5CLNT500).

  • In the Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM) for all account-managing systems (in the example, in KO5CLNT500 and in KO5CLNT510), you have created your own implementation by choosing Start of the navigation path Communication with Logical Systems Next navigation step Account Next navigation step Account Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) Next navigation step BAdI: System Determination for Accounts End of the navigation path.

Process

  • The master contract proxy determines the master contract-managing system from the logical system specified in the Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM) under Define Master Contract-Managing System.

  • The BAdI implementation System Determination for Accounts provides the logical system that contains the contract for each account contract.

The account proxy, therefore, does not determine the account-managing system settings in Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM) under Define Account-Managing System.
