On the Combined Settlement tab page you can make individual settings for a master contract for cross-track attributes, individual combined settlement tracks, and for the time periods of a selected track for a combined settlement.

Note Note

The settings you make on the Combined Settlement tab page are irrespective of the process and apply both for bundle pricing calculation and compensation.

End of the note.

Procedure

  1. In the Cross-Track Attributes group box, define the following attributes:

    1. If you have selected Compensation Calculation Base: Calculation Based on Participant Balances as compensation method, you can define a standard value for the master contract for the percentage amount of the settlement results that is credited to the participant.

      Note Note

Alternatively you can define the distribution share individually for each participant in the relationship attributes of compensation.

      End of the note.
    2. If you have selected the Compensation Calculation Base: Calculation Based on Participant Balances as compensation method, using the compensation share you can define which percentage share of the settlement results you want compensated for each participant.

      Note Note

Alternatively you can define the compensation share individually for each participant in the relationship attributes of compensation.

      End of the note.
    3. If you only want the system to include the charge conditions for a combined settlement, set the Condition Type Restriction indicator. You are not allowed to assign interest conditions to the master contract.

    4. If you wish to call up a component in the settlement and combined settlement for calculating tax, define the Determine Capital Yield Tax attribute. For more information, see Calculation of Capital Yield Tax.

  2. In the Combined Settlement Tracks group box, define how you want the system to calculate the combined settlement of a combined settlement track.

    Note Note

If you wish to calculate different conditions at different times, use multiple combined settlement tracks.. You can use both combined settlement tracks defined by SAP and those you define yourself in Customizing. You define the number of tracks allowed and the combined settlement types in the master contract product. For more information, see Use of Multiple Combined Settlement Tracks.

    End of the note.
    1. If you want the system to post individual combined settlement results (such as debit interest, credit interest) in one total, set the Post Cumulated Settlement indicator. This means that there is just one posting for each account for all conditions.

    2. If you do not want the system to post the results of a combined settlement, set the Do Not Post Settlementindicator.

    3. If you want the system to offset the amounts of different condition types against each other, choose a condition type offset method.

    4. Using the interest category for intracompany loans you can define whether the settlement postings are included in the profit and loss statement and the balance sheet or if they are used for offsetting within a company.

    5. If you want the system to post the settlement results of the participant accounts for condition types for intracompany loans to an internal bank clearing account instead of to a business partner account, set the Offsetting Posting Category for In-House-Banking indicator. During the combined settlement, the system transfers the settlement results from the bank's clearing account to the business partner account that has been defined in the master contract.

    6. If you want the system to create correspondence after executing the combined settlement, set the Correspondence indicator.

    7. Define the attributes of the compensation method.

  3. In the Time Periods group box, define the times at which and the frequency with which you want the system to execute the combined settlement. These time periods apply for each of the combined settlement tracks selected in the Combined Settlement Tracks group box. They override any Period ID defined in the Customizing activity Define Time Periods for Combined Settlement Tracks

    Note Note

Note that the frequency is based on the starting date you specify. The next period end date, meaning also the next execution date for the combined settlement, results from the starting date and the period determined from the time periods set. This date must be in the future.

    End of the note.

Result

The system executes the combined settlement on the dates you selected and posts the settlement results calculated to the reference account.
