Procedure documentationEditing the Installment Repayment Group Box

In the Installment Repayment group box, on the Calculation tab page, you edit the fields for a condition that belong to amount category 110020 Installment Repayment.

An installment repayment is dependent on the definition of a repayment amount or a repayment share that always remains the same. The system also calculates the interest that is accrued.

Procedure

You can make the following settings:

  1. In the Condition Form field, you can enter the use for the condition.

  2. If you have assigned the date category 220020 (Clearing) in condition type Customizing, you can enter the clearing type. By doing so, you define the time of repayment clearing with interest calculation capital. You can select the following values:

    • Immediate Clearing

    • Calculation Day Clearing

    • Period-End Clearing

    • Regular Clearing

    • Due-Date Clearing

  3. If you select the Due-Date Related Calculation checkbox, the system includes flow records whose due dates are in the calculation period due to shortened or extended periods. If these due dates are not in the calculation period, the system ignores these.

  4. Enter an amount or a percentage rate for the repayment.

    • The amount you enter is the constant repayment amount.

If you enter an amount, enter a condition currency in the header data of the condition or a payment currency.

For more information about the dependencies of currencies in conditions, see Currencies in Conditions.

    • If you enter a percentage rate, the repayment amount is calculated based on the calculation basis, for example, the contract capital. To change this, you can enter a fixed amount as the calculation basis in the Base Amount field or you can enter a reference in the Base Reference field.

  5. You can use the Pro Rata Calculation field to control how the start period and end period are to be included in the calculation for shortened or extended periods.

The system determines a pro rata amount for the period. This is made up of the ratio of the actual period length in days to the theoretical period length in days. In the Interest Calculation Method field, you determine how the system determines the length of a period.

For more information, see Interest Calculation Method.

  6. You can enter a payment currency that differs from the condition currency.

When you enter a payment currency, you can enter a fixed exchange rate that the system uses for the validity period of the condition.

Result

You have defined an installment repayment.
