Editing the Due Date Group Box
In the Due Date
group box on the Time Periods
tab page, you edit the fields for a condition that belong to date category 225010 Due Date
.
In this group box, you define the due date and the frequency with which the condition amount becomes due.
You determine the first due day. All further due dates are based on the time periods that you set up. The system adds the repetition unit to the first due day. The last due date can, for example, be brought forward as a result of the transaction term end.
The system can calculate the due date periodically, or it can calculate this based on the setting sof another date category, or you can create individual calling dates during the calendar year. This means you have the following options for the date update:
Periodic date update
Relative date update
Date update with annual set of dates
You can make the following settings:
You can enter a working day shift for the future periodic dates.
The working day shift specifies whether, and by how many days, the determined date is to be shifted if it falls on a Sunday or a public holiday.
For more information, see Shifting Dates
You can enter up to five calendars for the working day shift.
If you enter the working day shift, enter at least one calendar for this.
Note
The system uses the calendars that you enter to calculate a working day based on the working day shift. A working day must be a working day in all the calendars.
If you have not entered a working day shift for the due date, you can do so for the payment date. The payment date is then different than the due date.
You can enter a number of calendar days to postpone the payment date or bring it forward (negative plus/minus sign).
If the condition amount is to be called periodically, enter Periodic in the Frequency Category
field.
You can make the following settings:
Enter the frequency in the Repetition Period
und Repetition Unit
fields.
Enter the first due day.
You can flag the start date as being inclusive. If you are using the due date as the clearing date, the system clears the condition amount on the due day (inclusively).
You can enter a number of calendar days to postpone the due date or bring it forward (negative plus/minus sign).
Alternatively, you can enter a reference date for the start date. This means that the due date is adapted, for example, to the contract start or the fixing start date.
You can enter a one-time shift for the reference date.
You can enter one or more key days on which the periodic calling is to take place. If you enter 31, each month is set to the last day of the month.
Example
The start date is on 01/28/2008 if the update is periodic, and the frequency is monthly.
If you enter 28 for the key day, the system always updates the date on the 28th of the month. 02/28/2008, 03/28/2008, 04/27/2008, 05/28/2008 and so on would then follow.
If you enter 31 for the key day, the system always updates the date on the last day of the month. 02/29/2008, 03/30/2008, 04/30/2008, 05/31/2008 and so on would then follow.
If you enter the working day shift, you can select the Fixed Periods
checkbox. The system then updates the data with fixed periods. This means that if a date is moved due to a working day shift, the moved date is the starting point for continued update.
To call the condition amount in relation to a reference date, enter Relative in the Frequency Category
field.
You can make the following settings:
You can specify whether the date taken from the reference date is inclusive.
You can enter a number of calendar days to postpone the due date or bring it forward (negative plus/minus sign).
You can calculate the due date in relation to the calculation date or the periodic settlement. Enter one of the following reference date categories:
You can use the Reference Date After Working Day Shift
checkbox to specify that the due date refers to the reference date after its working day shift.
To call the condition amount on particular dates during the calendar year, enter Annual Block of Dates in the Frequency Category
field.
You can make the following settings:
Enter the first due day.
You can flag the start date as being inclusive. This makes the due date inclusive in all periods.
You can enter a key day on which the periodic calling is to take place. If you enter 31, each month is set to the last day of the month.
Example
You entered start date 01/01/2007 and 02/28 in the annual block of dates.
If you enter 28 for the key day, the system annually updates the date on 02/28. 02/28/2007, 02/28/2008 and so on would follow.
If you enter 31 for the key day, the system annually updates the date on the last day of the month. 02/28/2007, 02/29/2008, 02/28/2009 and so on would follow.
Enter at least one date in the Annual Block of Dates
.
You have defined the date update for the due date.
