Editing Basic Data
On the Basic Data
tab page you can edit and display basic master contract data in different group boxes. The settings below determine which data is available:
System settings in the product Customizing for Master Contract Management
Editing mode (create, change, display)
Settings in the Business Data Toolset (BDT)
The Product
and Master Contract Identification
group boxes display the master contract that you are currently editing, and the Product upon which the master contract is based. You cannot enter or change any of these details.
In the Administration
group box, you enter the purpose and the currency of the master contract. The system displays the current contract status of the master contract.
In the Notes
group box, you edit the language-dependent notes for each editing area. You can, for example, enter participant conditions in notes. However, you can also enter the notes in the listed subareas such as posting control, and display them here in the master contract.
In the Master Contract Holder
group box, you can display, and with some restrictions, edit the most important data for the master contract holder. If you change the master contract holder ID, the system automatically also changes the primary correspondence recipient on the Correspondence Recipient
tab page.
In the Correspondence Request
group box, you specify whether correspondence is to be output to an external correspondence tool for all changed master contract data by means of a Business Transaction Event (BTE).
Check the Product
and Master Contract Identification
group boxes to ensure that you are editing the correct master contract and that your master contract is assigned to the correct product and product version.
Enter the required data.
When you edit the contract currency, note that this can only be changed according to the contract status and the Customizing settings for the external account identification.
The Notes
group box displays the first line of the note for which the language is defaulted. The two indicators at the end of the line of text show if there is a longer text or a text in a different language.
To create a longer note, set the indicator in front of the editing area. Then choose Editor
and enter the text.
To change the language of the notes, choose Other Languages
.
To read the short or long overview of the notes, choose Short Overview
or Long Overview
.
You can change the master contract holder in the Master Contract Holder
group box. However, the participation prerequisites for the master contract state that the master contract holder and the various account holders must be the same business partner. This means that it is not possible to indirectly change the master contract holder once the participant accounts have been assigned.
The system copies all other data for the master contract holder from the business partner system (this is SAP Business Partner for Financial Services in the standard system) to the Master Contract Holder
role.
Display
takes you to the detail view of the master contract holder. This data is for information only, and cannot be changed.
In the Correspondence Request
group box, enter a correspondence printer. An input field for the correspondence type then appears.
Save your entries.
