Use

You can display the results of the gap analysis in an overview and change how they are displayed by using various criteria.

 

Prerequisites

You have started a gap analysis as an online run or as a batch run.

 

Procedure

If you started the gap analysis as an online run, the system automatically displays the initial screen for gap analysis reporting. On the SAP Easy Access screen choose Bank Analyzer ® Analytics ® Strategy Analyzer ® Online Reporting ® Gap Analysis or Gap Aggregation for Valuation Runs.

If you started gap analysis as a batch run, on the SAP Easy Access screen choose Bank Analyzer ® Analytics ® Strategy Analyzer ® Reporting for Results Database ® Gap Analysis.  The system then displays a selection screen.

       1.      Choose an aggregation run whose results you want to display. If you use the input help function to select an aggregation run, the system automatically enters the version and key date of the run in the appropriate fields.

Interaction

The system displays the results of the gap analysis. You have the following options for changing how the results are displayed:

      The dialog structure contains the segment hierarchy of the aggregation run. Select the folder for which you want to display data (double-click)

For more information about the segment hierarchies, see the Gap Analysis Settings and Segment Hierarchy documents.

      Choose the tab page that contains the evaluation for which you want to display data.

For more information about the individual evaluations, see the Gap Analysis document or the Portfolio Evaluation, Maturity Evaluation, Cash Flow, Liquidity, and NPV Evaluations, and Net Interest Income Evaluation documents.

The system displays only the asset gap and liability gap.

You change the market data scenario for which the results are displayed. This action can be carried out only on the detail screen.

You can change how the following parameters are displayed:

      Evaluation Currency or Transaction Currency

Specifies whether only the transactions of a specific currency or all the selected transactions are displayed.

      Cash Flow View

Displays the cash flows, for example, by fixed-rate period view or interest rate condition view.

      Filter ID

Restricts the display in line with the following criteria:

       Balance sheet indicator

       Cash Flow Display Indicator

       Liquidity Indicator

       Splitting Values

      Commitment Indicator

Specifies whether the system displays the data under the interest (fixed-rate period) or capital commitment (capital tie-up). This indicator only affects the position and maturity evaluations.

      Scaling factor

Sets the unit of the data displayed to 1, 1000, or 1 million.

Note that you have to define cash flow views and filter IDs in Customizing before you can make a selection in reporting.

You can carry out the gap analysis for the transactions or positions contained in parts of the segment hierarchy that do not have the object ID as a characteristic.

Choose also a separate hierarchy type, segment hierarchy, and an InfoSet profile.

You select a due date scenario for which the results are displayed.

The system displays the results data without using due date scenarios.

 

Note

You can use the valuation structures to determine how the transaction data was analyzed, right down to the key figures calculated in gap analysis. You do so by choosing the transaction you require in the dialog structure and then choosing one of the functions shown in the table below.
