Procedure documentation Test Archive Stores

Use

You can use this function to test the accessibility and availability of archive stores.

Prerequisites

Archive stores have been previously defined using the function Define Archive Stores.

You have called up the XML DAS Administration as a browser application.

Procedure

...

Choose the Test Archive Stores link in the Administration area of the XML DAS Administration.

The Test Archive Stores window appears. Here you can view a list of all the archive stores that have been defined. The status symbol This graphic is explained in the accompanying text signals that the archive store is accessible and available. This means that the XML Data Archiving Service (XML DAS) has checked that the archive store can be used successfully for XML archiving. For example, XML DAS makes sure that the Unix Root listed in the table is correct and that the corresponding directory can be read. In case of a WebDAV System XML DAS checks that the proxies that were entered are in working order.

You can also see different information about the archive store, such as which storage system it was created for, and what type of storage system is being used.

For more information on the different columns, see Define Archive Stores.
