Group of Parallel Backup Media 

To speed up backups and restores, you can use multiple backup media in parallel. To do this, you define a group of parallel backup media. The database system assigns this group of backup media a shared media name.

You can use the MAXBACKUPDEVS general database parameter to configure the maximum number of parallel backup media a group should contain.
