ACL Security Manager 

Use

The ACL security manager is used for checking user permissions for accessing documents and folders.

The ACL security manager uses ACLs (access control lists) for managing resource-related user permissions. The ACL security manager uses an ACL manager configuration that stores and manages the ACLs for this.

 

The ACL security manager needs to be configured if you have repositories that use this security manager for performing permission checks (see Repositories and Repository Managers).

 

Currently, there are two different configurations of the ACL security manager: One for normal ACLs, and one for service ACLs.

 

Features

The ACL security managers are already configured in the standard configuration.

ACL Manager Configuration Parameters

Parameters	Required	Description
ACL Cache	Yes	ID of the cache to be used by the ACL manager configuration (see Caches).
Permissions Cache	No	Cache in which permissions are stored (see Caches).

 

Separate caches are used for service ACLs and normal ACLs.

Activities

The ACL security manager is preconfigured in the KM standard configuration. Their configuration should not be changed.
