Function documentation ACL Security Manager Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

The ACL security manager is used for checking user permissions for accessing documents and folders.

The ACL security manager uses ACLs (access control lists) for managing resource-related user permissions. The ACL security manager uses an ACL manager configuration that stores and manages the ACLs for this.

The ACL security manager needs to be configured if you have repositories that use this security manager for performing permission checks (see Repositories and Repository Managers).

Note

Currently, there are two different configurations of the ACL security manager: One for normal ACLs, and one for service ACLs.

Features

The ACL security managers are already configured in the standard configuration.

For a list of ACL manager configurations see Content Management ® Utilities ® ACL Managers.
