Creating a Connection to the SLD and Required Authorizations

       1.      Start the Visual Administrator and log on as Administrator.

       2.      To connect to the SLD, choose Cluster ® Server ®Services ® SLD Data Supplier ® Runtime ® HTTP Settings tab, and enter the connection data for the SLD.

       3.      Choose the CIM Client Generation Settings tab, and activate the following entries in the list:

sap.com/tc~lm~webadmin~mainframe~wd/webdynpro/public/lib/app.jar

sap.com/tc~lm~webadmin~sld~wd/webdynpro/public/lib/app.jar

       4.      Make sure that the SLD connection data is entered in this tab, and choose Save.

       5.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text to activate the data transfer.

Creating a Connection to the ABAP Stack of CEN

       1.      In the Visual Administrator, choose Cluster ® Server ®Services ® JCo RFC Provider ® Runtime, and create a new RFC destination with the following connection data:

Description

Program ID

Enter the following program ID: SAP.CCMS.CEN.<SID>, where <SID> is the system ID of CEN.

Gateway host

Gateway service

Enter the connection data for the CEN gateway. By default, the gateway service uses the naming convention sapgw<System No.>.

Number of processes

Enter 1.

Application server host

System number

Enter the connection data for a CEN application server.

Client

Language

User

Password

Enter the logon data for a user in CEN. The user requires authorization to call transaction RZ20 (Alert Monitor).

 

       2.      Choose the Set, to create the connection to the ABAP stack of CEN.

Storing Access Data for the Java Systems to Be Administered

Recommendation

If you want to monitor multiple Java systems with the NetWeaver Administrator, we recommend that you store the relevant logon data in the NetWeaver Administrator’s J2EE Engine, so that you do not need to log on with a user name and password every time.

       1.      In the Visual Administrator, choose Cluster ® Server ®Services ® Destinations ® Runtime, and select the HTTP entry in the destination tree.

       2.      Choose New, and enter the following name:

sap.com/tc~je~jmx~wsconnector~sp/<SysID>/<Host>,

where <SysID> and <Host> are the system ID and the host of the Java system to be administered.

       3.      On the next screen, enter the following URL:

http://<host>:<port>/WSConnector/Config1?style=document,

where <host> and <port> are the host and the HTTP port of the Java system to be administered.

       4.      In the Authentication input field, choose the BASIC from the dropdown box.

       5.      In the User Name and Password input fields, enter the corresponding data for a user with administrator authorization in the Java system to be administered.

       6.      Choose Save to save your entries.
