Procedure documentation Defining Related Links Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

This section describes how you use the Related Links Editor to assign content as related links to pages and iViews.

Prerequisites

·        You have read administration permission for the object you are defining as a related link.

·        You have read-write administration permission for the object to which you are assigning a related link.

·        You have access in the Portal Content Studio to both of the above objects

·        You are familiar with Permission Levels and Assigning Permissions

Procedure

...

       1.      In the Portal Content Studio, right-click the page/iView to which you want to assign related content and select Open ® Related Links to open its Related Links Editor. See Editing an Object.

If the object to which you are assigning related content is a portal page containing child iViews and pages to which related content has already been assigned, then this related content is also displayed. The name of the object to which it is assigned is displayed in the Assigned To column.

       2.      In the Portal Catalog, right-click the target object you want to assign as a related link and choose Add as Related Link. The related content is added to the list of items already assigned to the object you are editing.

       3.      Repeat the procedure as necessary to add more related content.

       4.      Click Save to apply your changes.

Result

Related content selected for the object in this editor appears at runtime in the Related Links area on the navigation panel.

Additional Information

·        A related link that is set to Hide is still associated to its iView/page, but does not appear in the Related Links iView of the navigation panel. To reactivate, set the object to Display.

·        Removing a related link from a page/iView disassociates it from the particular page/iView as a related link; however, the object still appears in the user’s content.
