Procedure documentation Importing Drag&Relate Metadata Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

Importing the SAP Enterprise Portal plug-in into the SAP R/3 system does not mean that there will be any content. The tables for the Drag&Relate metadata were created, but not filled with content. This only happens when the metadata is imported.

Prerequisites

·        The SAP Enterprise Portal plug-in was imported into the SAP R/3 system (see Note 655941).

Note

It is not necessary to import the SAP Enterprise Portal plug-in for SAP R/3 Enterprise Systems 4.7 based on 6.40. The objects are already an integral part of the system.

·        Software component SAP_APPL exists in the SAP R/3 system.

Note

You can have a look at the installed components in the detailed display of the system status or check the entries in table CVERS (transaction SE16).

·        The metadata must be imported with an up-to-date version of SPAM / SAINT. If necessary, update SPAM.

Procedure

Note

Also read Notes 335373 and 335369.

...

       1.      Choose Software Distribution Center on the home page of the SAP Service Marketplace
(alias swcenter).

       2.      Choose Download ® SAP Installations & Upgrades ® SAP NetWeaver ® SAP ENTERPRISE PORTAL ® Drag & Relate Meta Data  ® SAP_WPDRMD.

The list of available packages with Drag&Relate metadata is displayed. There is a separate package for each Basis release.

Caution

SAP does not currently deliver metadata for Basis releases that are not listed. If you want to implement Drag&Relate scenarios in such systems, you have to define the metadata manually. For more information, see Drag&Relate and the Business Object Repository.

Choose the package you need and import it into your SAP R/3 System.

Result

You imported the Drag&Relate metadata.

Note

After the import you must adjust the table structures.

Caution

You can protect existing and modified metadata against overwriting by importing the metadata again. In this case, you have to activate the objects manually or use the Mass Activation function. For more information, see Drag&Relate and the Business Object Repository.
