Definition

An interface, belonging to the portal service configuration framework, that allows the portal administrator to modify the configuration of the autocomplete sub‑service of the relation resolving service. These services are part of the portal unification infrastructure.

Use

The Autocomplete Service Configuration Editor permits changes to the following parameters of the autocomplete service:

Determines whether or not the autocomplete service tries to find a relation between business objects from different systems.

Weight Limitation for Autocomplete Relation

Specifies the maximum weight of an automatic relation.

A weighty relation often makes no sense, since it may go through many irrelevant intermediate objects before completion.

Also, a relation of too high a weight can have an adverse effect on performance during runtime.

Specifying a weight of “0” disables autocomplete for navigation during runtime.

Numeric value of type integer

Default = 70

Before modfiying the default weight limit, note the following default weights:

Manual = 10
Foreign key = 10
Cross-system = 50

Accessing the Autocomplete Service Editor

To open the Autocomplete Service Editor navigate in the portal as follows:

       1.      From the top-level navigation, go to System Administration ® System Configuration.

       2.      From Detailed Navigation, choose Service Configuration.

       3.      In the Portal Content Catalog, expand Applications and then expand com.sap.portal.unification.autocomplete.

       4.      Right-click AutoCompleteService and choose Configure.

The Autocomplete Service Configuration Editor appears in the work area.
