The processing type of a variable determines how a variable is filled with a value for the runtime of the query or Web application.

Depending on the type of variable used (context-sensitive), the possible processing types are offered in the variable wizard. For more information about the possible combinations of variable types and processing types, see Overview of Variable Types and Processing Types.

Activities

In the variable wizard, in the General Information dialog step, choose the required processing type.
