       1.      Choose System Administration ® Transport ® Export.

       2.      Place the cursor on a folder in the Portal Catalog and with the secondary mouse key choose New ® Transport Package.

       3.      In step 1 „General Properties“ enter the:

¡        Transport package name (required)

¡        Transport package ID (required)

¡        Transport package ID prefix (optional)

¡        Master language (required)

¡        Description (optional).

       4.      Choose Next.

       5.      In step 2 “Enter Folder of New Transport Package” you can create a subdirectory below the given directory. If you make no entry here, the object is stored in the directory in which you are at the moment. Choose Next.

       6.      In step 3 “Summary” you can check the entries you made. If you do not want to open the package for editing immediately after the generation process, deselect the option Open for editing when wizard completes.

       7.      Choose Finish.

The wizard generates the new object and stores it in the relevant folder in the Portal Catalog. The transport package is immediately available for editing, depending on what you selected in step 6.

In the Portal Content Studio you see the:

¡        Export Editor with the empty content object list (Static Package Content)

¡        Property Editor containing the properties of the package (such as name and master language). You can check and if necessary change the properties. See also Maintaining Properties of an Export Package.
