Selecting a System
You can create XML iViews that retrieve XML sources from secure sites on the Web; ones which require end users to logon before being able to gain access to their content.
If you want, you can use the portal’s user mapping capabilities so that end users benefit from the resulting single sign-on (SSO) capability. SSO allows a user to log on to the portal once, and thereafter, start applications and network logon sessions without further authentication requests.
You need to create a separate system for each information source which requires support for user mapping.
· You have created a system object in the portal and assigned an alias to the system object. The system object represents the iView’s information source and contains the necessary authentication settings.

For more information on this process and other prerequisites, follow the same procedure as described for URL iViews in the URL iView Editor; see Selecting a System.
· You have configured the user name and password in the URL parameter list.

For more information, follow the same procedure as described for configuring URL parameters for URL iViews in the URL iView Editor; see Configuring URL Parameters.
...
1. Open the iView in the XML iView Editor.
2. In the XML iView Editor, select the Configure URL option.
