Hierarchy Derivation

In Hierarchy Derivation for Planning Services, you specify the source of the hierarchy information and the form in which the individual nodes in the source hierarchy are imported.

The following hierarchy derivations are defined in planning services for the planning areas CP: Sales and Promotions Plan+Actual (4TPM8000) and CP: Sales Planning with Promotions (4TPM1000):

·        Business Partner Group Hierarchy

The external BW hierarchy CP_PLAN_CUST is chosen for this hierarchy. The setting for the characteristic GP: Business Partner Group (from Hierarchy) (0BP_GRP) is set to To Be Derived.

·        Product Category Hierarchy

The external BW hierarchy CP_PLAN_PROD is chosen for this hierarchy. The indicators for the characteristics Product (0CRM_PROD) and Product Category (0PROD_CATEG) are set to Fixed and To be Derived respectively.

Characteristic Sequence

In the characteristic sequence, you arrange those characteristics set to Fixed, or those that contain characteristics that are set to Fixed as reference characteristics.
