Purpose

The IT process describes how online communication is initiated.

Process Flow

The following IT process is incorporated in the Enterprise Portal (EP) usage type:

 

       1.      Check communication partners’ online availability.

Before starting an online meeting, users can check whether the required communication partners are available in the portal. Online availability is displayed using an icon that precedes the name of the user in question.

       2.      Check calendar availability.

Using the corresponding function on the Collaboration Launch Pad, users check whether the required communication partners are available for an immediate online meeting according to their calendars.

       3.      Send invitation for online meeting.

The communication partners are invited to the online meeting (WebEx).

Result

The communication partners can initiate the online meeting to process the business issue promptly.
