Classification of element types according to their semantic content.
The type provides the user with orientation when searching for element types (examples of types are "Documents", "Business Objects", or "Transactions"). As a standard setting, the types are displayed as yellow folders in the role-based view of the Records Organizer.
Type is a classification parameter of the area S_AREA_RMS. Values can be assigned in the customizing activity "Maintain Element Types".
