This characteristic specifies the use of cycle counts in ERP without influencing the shrinkage resolve in RMA. The idea is that a large storewide physical inventory, which is posted as a normal inventory adjustment to the physical inventory (Bucket INVD), triggers a shrinkage resolve. Inversely, a cycle counting that counts only a small number of the merchandise, does not trigger a shrinkage resolve. Cycle counts may just be a manual adjustment that is posted to a different bucket (Bucket OIND).
