Process documentation Decomposing a Task  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

This process is used to take a work item and, on an entirely ad hoc basis, determined solely by the user, create a collaboration task to involve other users. This collaboration process occurs before the work item is executed.

It runs in usage types Enterprise Portal and Application Server.

Process Flow

The user selects the task. If the user requires assistance with the task, they can initiate a collaboration task and assign the task to the appropriate people. When the collaboration task begins, a link is created to the originating workflow.

       1.      Select work item.

       2.      Use Collaboration Task wizard to define collaboration task

The user can create single-step or multiple-step collaboration task. They can select a variety of task types. Examples include approval task types and requests for feedback.

       3.      Initiate and distribute collaboration task

       4.      System displays collaboration task.

       5.      System links collaboration task to workflow.

Result

The user has created a linkage between the collaboration task and the structured workflow.
