This key figure shows the average length of stay of the cases.

The length of stay is determined in accordance with the calculation of billing days as per BPflV 1995 (Federal Regulation for Hospitals 1995). The admission day and each further day of the hospital stay are used for this determination. The day on which the patient is discharged or transferred to another hospital is not taken into account.
