Modeling Applications with Visual Composer
In this process, the modeler defines the application flow of the model and its UI elements. The process is carried out in Storyboard, the browser-based client of Visual Composer.
Use of the Process
This process is part of the following IT scenario:

You have ensured that the data services you require (BAPIs, RFCs, Web services) are implemented and available in the back end to which you are connected.
The system administrator has configured the connections to back-end systems by creating systems in the portal's System Landscape Editor.
The steps of this process, when modeling a freestyle application, are:
Discover the data service
In Visual Composer Storyboard, the modeler searches for and drags onto the model the data services needed to enable the basic functionality of the application.
Define UI components
Using the model elements provided, the modeler drags the elements — such as input forms and output tables — onto the diagram in order to define the application elements that will be visible to the user at runtime. Externally-developed Flash components can also be integrated as UI elements in Visual Composer models.
Create the information flow
By mapping outputs of one elements to inputs of other elements, and configuring events and other connections, the modeler defines the flow of input from the start of the application to the end.
Create the navigation flow
Using Visual Composer mechanisms for layers and grouping UI elements, the modeler can create nested iViews, wizards, tabbed dialogs and other navigational elements.
A model describing the information flow of the application and the layout of its UI elements is created.
