Background documentationSubmitting Jobs and Job Chains Locate this document in the navigation structure

When a user requests a job definition to be executed, a process server will have to schedule the job for execution. A request for execution is also called "submitting". Before the execution request is passed on to the process server, the user may:

  • Change scheduling behavior parameter values.

  • Enter the job parameter values.

Once a request has been submitted, the job can be created by process server. By default, a scheduled job will be executed according to the start date and time, and provided a scheduler is up and running. Jobs can also be scheduled directly on hold, this job will require human intervention before it will start.
