Use

To encrypt data for ICF communication, you can use the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer).

If you use an SSL Client Certificate, the client authentication is performed by the SSL protocol.  The target system must handle the issuer of the SAP NW AS SSL Client Certificate as trusted.
