Central Job Monitoring

Purpose

The IT process Central Job Monitoring covers the administrative activities around central process automation.

Use of the Process

Prerequisites

You have set up the standalone engine Job scheduling capabilities of SAP NetWeaver. It is connected by RFC to all AS ABAP in which jobs are to be created and started.

Process Flow

       1.      The business user uses the Redwood Explorer to connect to Job scheduling capabilities of SAP NetWeaver.

       2.      An overview of the status of jobs and job chains is displayed as a graphic, from which you can start initial analyses if a job terminates. Job chains can be restarted, if required.

       3.      Administrative jobs that need to run regularly in AS ABAP can be centrally created and monitored by the administrator. This reduces the administrative requirement in the backend systems.
