You can use this option in link descriptions and compilation descriptions.

The definition option identifies a module file as a definition file for dynamic libraries on Microsoft Windows. Semantically, this option has the same effect as a combination of the options binary and demand.

When this option is assigned to a module file, the file is copied as a binary file to the current working directory tmp before the link operation takes place.
