You can search for implementable SAP Notes on side effects of SAP Notes that have already been implemented and download them to your system.

Prerequisites

  • You have already implemented SAP Notes with side effects in your system.

  • You have created an RFC connection to SAP.

Procedure

  1. On the initial screen of the Note Assistant, choose the Check Side Effects (Ctrl+Alt+F4) pushbutton.

    You can also start this function with the report SCWN_FIND_SIDE_EFFECTS.

    On the Load the following Notes into your system: dialog box you get a list of SAP Notes that have already been implemented but which you have to implement into your system again to be sure that you have the latest version of the Note.

  2. Choose Download Notes.

    If you already have the newest version, then you can close the dialog box.

    In the Download Notes on Side Effects dialog box you get a list of SAP Notes on side effects.

  3. Choose Download Notes again.

    If your SAP system has implementable SAP Notes on side effects then these are displayed in the note display.

    If there are no implementable SAP Notes on side effects in your SAP system, then you get the status message No SAP Notes on Side Effects Found.
