As an initial step, it is recommended that you maintain trace level information. To do that, go to the Customizing global features in the error handling features by calling the Customizing transaction of the SAP Application Interface Framework (transaction code /AIF/CUST_IF). Select  Error Handling Global Features .

Select the node Define Trace Level from the dialog structure on the left, check that there is an entry for each trace level. It is recommended that you maintain trace level information starting from trace level 0 because the settings of a lower trace level will be automatically applied to all higher trace levels.

To maintain trace level information, select the trace level and click the Details button. You can make separate entries depending on the message source: from framework or from individual interface. To include a specific message type (A = technical error; E = application error; I = Information; W = Warning; S= Success) for a specific message category, select the corresponding checkbox in the matrix.
