AFS, Outsourced Manufacturing
You use this function to make your subcontracting processes transparent and efficient.
You can use the subcontracting functions in the area of purchasing, inventory management and logistic execution to track components to be issued to the vendor and their consumption at the vendor’s site.
To use this function, you must activate the following business functions:
● Outsourced Manufacturing (LOG_MM_OM_1)
● Outsourced Manufacturing for Fashion (/AFS/LOG_MM_OM_1)
AFS has enhanced the functions of outsource manufacturing with AFS details like Grid Value, Requirement Category, and Stock Category in the following areas:
You can use:
● The subcontracting (SC) cockpit to maintain your subcontracting process centrally. This makes tracking of component availability in vendor stock easy. We can also react timely to shortfalls in vendor stock.
● The scrap report to get an overview of the average scrap in a certain period of time for a certain vendor.
● The component consumption report to get an overview of current subcontracting component consumption and the planned consumption. This also gives details related to the consumption dates and quantities which helps in tracking the progress of the subcontracting order.
