Correspondence Tool Integration

The correspondence tool stores the form classes and application forms of the print workbench which are used for request-based correspondence, as correspondence types.

The correspondence types of SAP Learning Solution must all be assigned to application area H (SAP Learning Solution) and application indicator EA-HR. All of the correspondence types delivered by SAP are in the namespace HL**.

SAP Learning Solution correspondence types do not support:

·        Recipient control options

·        Periodic correspondence

The event concept Business Add-In (BAdI) is used for events. BTEs (Business Transaction Events) and their events are not used by SAP Learning Solution.

Since the correspondence tool was originally designed for correspondence with the object Business Partner, which is not supported by SAP Learning Solution, the correspondence history of the correspondence tool cannot be used for correspondence created with SAP Learning Solution.

Print Workbench Integration

Request-based correspondence uses the print workbench for document output. Documents output by the print workbench are based on form classes. Form classes model the dynamic data of a document and access instructions, in other words, how the data is filled by the application. The dynamic data is modelled in the form of a hierarchy in a form class. For the purposes of the print workbench in request-based correspondence, it is important to understand how the text variables can be accessed in a form class.
