Definition

In contracts and call-offs in purchasing and sales (sales and distribution), the system creates a quantity schedule for each item, depending on the order type. The material quantity of the item is split to break down the contract period into smaller periods. This is advantageous, because it allows larger quantities to be planned over a longer time period. Seasonal fluctuations can also be planned ahead of time.

In addition, the quantity schedule offers an overview of the quantities called-off in the breakdown periods, so that you can monitor them better. In that way, you can determine how much quantity your exchange partner (or independent of the exchange agreement, the partner - vendor, customer) can still call-off over a defined time period (for example daily, weekly or monthly) and what quantities you can still call-off from your exchange partner.

The quantity schedule in the call-off offers an overview of the quantity delivered or received. In addition, there is a check on the call-off level against a quantity which is still open for a specific period of time.

Note

You can find the settings used to automatically create a quantity schedule in contracts and call-offs in purchasing and sales in Customizing under Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream) under EXG ® Quantity Schedule ® Document Type Activation.
