Course Type Info (Infotype 1029) 

Definition

Infotype that enables you to store a variety of additional information about a course type, such as whether the course type should be listed in the Learning Portal.

Use

The Course Type Info infotype is used in the following reports and functions:

·        In the course brochure report, you can compile a list of courses whose course types have been flagged for inclusion in the brochure.

·        The indicator No Intranet is used to exclude courses from display in the Learning Portal. If this indicator is selected, the course type is not displayed in the Learning Portal.

·        If your system is integrated with Time Management, you can use this infotype to override general settings made in Customizing regarding Time Management. For example, it lets you specify that an employee (object type P) may attend a course on a day off.

SAP Learning Solutiondoes not support convention functions.

Structure

The Course Type Info infotype includes the following information:

·        The indicator Include in brochure to specify that a course type should be included in the course brochure: When you start the report to generate the brochure, you can select the option selected course types only. In this case, only courses types feature in the brochure for which this indicator has been specifically set.

·        The indicator No Intranet to specify that the course type (for which this indicator is set) and the relevant course or curriculum types are not displayed in the Learning Portal.

·        In this infotype, you can also make specifications for internal participants and instructors that are valid for the Time Management component:

¡        No integration: You use this indicator to deactivate integration with Time Management for participants and instructors of courses of this type. This means that no attendance and absence records are written to Time Management.

¡        Allowed in time off: You use this indicator to allow a person to participate in or teach a course of a certain type even if time off records have been stored for the person during the same period in Time Management.

¡        Minimum percentage(only for participants): You can use this entry to specify the minimum amount of time a participant must be present at a course of a given type to qualify as participation. If the value you specify here is not recorded for a participant, the participation is considered to be insufficient and is automatically canceled. Here, you enter a percentage of the complete course duration.

¡        This entry overrides the value stored for the course type in the SEMIN TIMEP entry under Integration ® Time Management ® Specify Attendance Types.

·        You can flag a course that is included in a curriculum as exclusive to the curriculum. The course can only be booked as part of the curriculum. You select the booking option at the level of the course type. By doing so, you specify the following for all courses of a given type:

¡        Course can only be booked as part of the curriculum

¡        Course can be booked independent of the curriculum as well
