Procedure documentation Assign HUs to Existing Deliveries  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Prerequisites

Handling units must already have been created with reference to sales orders, and goods receipt must have been posted for these handling units.

Procedure

...

       1.      Select Logistics ® Logistics Execution ® Outbound Process ® Goods Issue for Outbound Delivery ® Outbound Delivery ® Create ® Collective Processing of Documents Due for Delivery ® Outbound Delivery of Handling Units.

       2.      Enter a shipping point, and any further information you require to restrict the selection.
NoteOn the User roles tab page, you can see the details of the shipping due list profile in Customizing. You can select whether or not to use this profile, or you can choose a pushbutton to branch to Customizing and select a different profile.

       3.      Choose Execute.

       4.      The system displays a list of the sales order items and stock transport orders that are due for delivery, the open deliveries, and the handling units that have been created with reference to these delivery-due items.

       5.      To display the significance of the various colors and icons, select Settings ® Display Legend.

       6.      In order to assign handling units to a delivery, select the rows with the corresponding HU and the row with the delivery, and choose Assign HUs to Delivery. There are three possibilities:

a)       If the HUs are in a storage which is not managed with WM, they are copied to the delivery. After refreshing, they are displayed as green rows below the deliveries.

b)       If the HUs are in a storage location which is managed with Full-WM, the system creates a delivery for which the HUs are reserved.  The system also generates a transfer order to which the HUs are copied. In the list, green header rows represent deliveries, and red item rows represent HUs which are reserved to the delivery under which they are listed. The red item rows also contain a forklift icon and the number of the transfer order (which is still open) to which the HUs belong. The last step you have to carry out is to confirm the transfer order to make sure that the HUs are picked for the delivery. When picking is completed, the system displays the HUs as green rows.

c)       If the HUs are in a storage location which is managed with Lean WM, then it depends on the confirmation settings as to what the list looks like after refreshing.

-         If you have set immediate confirmation, the system displays the list as described in a).

-         If you have not set immediate confirmation, the system displays the list as described in b).

Note

If you have set the indicator Increase Delivery Quantity (transaction VL10HU  ® User role), you can still assign HUs to deliveries which have already been packed completely. Three different cases are possible:

·         If the delivery already contains the material of the HU to be assigned, the system simply increases the quantity of the corresponding delivery item.

·         If the delivery does not contain the material of the HU to be assigned and you have set the Order combination indicator, the system creates a new delivery item.

·         If the system cannot assign an HU to a delivery because the packed material does not meet the delivery split criteria (for example, the goods recipient of the HU in question is not the same as in the HUs that the delivery already contains), a new delivery is generated.

Note

If you have set the indicator Always Split Batches, an HU that contains exactly one batch no longer becomes the main item of a delivery; instead, the system always creates a batch split item (subitem). This feature makes it possible to add an HU with a different batch to a delivery that contains an HU with exactly one batch.

Result

The system assigns the handling units to the deliveries that you selected or creates new deliveries.
