Use

The automatic roles delivered by SAP are intended as templates only. If you want to use automatic roles, you must first copy the required roles in the customer namespace, where you can then further process the automatic roles to portal roles.

As SAP delivers the automatic roles as a total package and does not differentiate between industry-specific applications, you have access to the roles of all applications and all industry solutions involved. When specifying the roles to be processed further for your live operations, you restrict your selection to the roles that correspond to the features of your underlying installation.

       1.      Start transaction PFCG.

Note

If you use the Retail (IS-R) application, the following also applies. Before you can start with the second step, you must transfer the following standard roles to your corresponding SCM system:

       IS-R-FRE - Master Data Specialist (SAP_EP_IS_R_FRE_MD_SPECIALIST)

       IS-R-FRE - Replenishment Planner (SAP_EP_IS_R_FRE_RPL)

       IS-R-FRE - System Administration (SAP_EP_IS_R_FRE_SYSADMIN)

To do this, choose the function Role ® Download in the transaction PFCG in your ERP system. Download the aforementioned roles.

In your SCM system in the transaction PFCG, choose the function Role ® Upload. Upload the aforementioned roles.

       2.      Display all of the roles available in your system. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Views and then Single Roles.

       3.      Filter the roles using SAP_EP_*. To do so, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info text Set Filter.

The system then displays all automatic roles provided by SAP.

       4.      Restrict the selection for further processing to those roles that correspond to your underlying installation. For example, if you use SAP_EP_RW_* to filter the roles, the list contains the automatic roles for the area of Accounting only.

       5.      Copy the automatic roles you selected for further processing to the customer namespace. Proceed as follows:

                            a.      Choose Copy in the context menu for each role.

                            b.      Enter a name from the customer namespace for the new role; for example, use the prefix "Z_". You can enter the rest of the name after the prefix to suit your own requirements, you do not have to use the name of the copied role.
