Versioning Options (Infotype 5049)
This infotype steers per course type system reactions when a new version of a published course becomes avaiable and a version update is performed in the learning portal. System reactions are based on the parameters booking update, learning progress, and pricing procedure.
Changes made by authors to course content can be classified in different ways. Depending upon the change category assigned to the course version (for example, major or minor changes) different system reactions may be required as far as the booking update, the progress update, or the course fee are concerned.
This infotype enables you to override the versioning settings made in Customizing. These apply to all course types. If you want to specify a different procedure for individual course types, you do so using this infotype.
You make the required settings in Customizing for Learning Solution under Training Management -> Day-to-Day Activities -> Booking -> Versioning.
