Definition
Description of characteristics used to group the selected single records. This means that unlike selection, characteristic values have no influence on grouping.
Use
A grouping rule is assigned for determining grouping.
The application of a grouping rule only makes sense if the amount of selected remunerations can be split into more than one group, to which a calculation rule can be applied. If the procedure does not lead to grouping, the selected remunerations correspond to the group so that the assignment to a grouping rule can be omitted. In this case, all single remunerations are assigned to a standard group in the remuneration clearing rule.
Grouping rule maintenance takes place in Customizing. The object is subordinate to period management.
Structure
Every attribute contained in the remuneration structure can be included as a grouping characteristic.
