Generation of Messages for Application
In transaction WESOUT you can generate outbound messages for the service operations for which you have assigned service implementations to applications.
In transaction WESOUT you must first select the application and the service implementations that you wish to use for generation of the outbound messages. You can generate the outbound messages either directly or in the background.
In transaction WESOUT, you can choose between the following options for the processing mode:
Initialization
You use this mode if you wish first to process and send all data of the selected service implementations that are required for an application.
Changes
Following successful initialization, this mode analyzes and sends all data that was changed since the last change run, or since the last initialization was carried out.
Manual request
You use this mode when you wish to select and send specific data, for example, when there is an error with a specific message. You can select individual data records using the Free Selection pushbutton. You can use the following checkboxes to define whether the configured filter criteria from transaction WESF are to be overridden or ignored.
Preassign Free Seletion with Defined Filter Criteria
If you flag this checkbox, then the free selection is automatically filled with the filter criteria defined in transaction WESF (applies only to the selected service implementation).
Override Defined Filter Criteria with Free Selection
If you flag this checkbox, then the settings that you have made in the free selection are taken into account instead of the settings from transaction WESF.
Process Data Records With Delete Information
If you flag this checkbox, then only deleted master data is transferred which you can then filter additionally using the free selection.
Filter criteria that you have defined in transaction WESF are taken into account in each case and exclusively in transaction WESOUT in the change and initialization modes. In the manual request, however, you can override this if the user role you have been assigned has sufficient authorization.
Using the pushbutton Display Filter Criteria Overview, you can display the configured filter criteria of the explicit filters (from transaction WESF).
Using the pushbutton Display Filter Configuration Overview, you can display an overview of the assigned filter objects and also the explicit and implicit filter configuration of your application (from Customizing).
Having carried out transaction WESOUT, you can check the status of the processing and sending of data in an application log. For successfully generated messages, you can use an appropriate symbol to navigate to the monitor of the local integration engine and view the generated XML message. The results of filtering are also displayed.
Normally, the generation of outbound messages is scheduled as a background job. You can also evaluate the application log using transaction WESLOG.
