Area Group Page 

Definition

Portal page that, for each business area of a component, comprises a short description and a hyperlink with which you can call the relevant area page.

Use

In the standard system, area group pages are defined for different components such as Employee Self-Service and Manager Self-Service. The area group pages provide users with an initial point of access where they can choose a particular area and then a service.

Structure

An area group page is composed of the following subobjects:

·        A pictogram (graphic) for each area

·        A header for each area

The header is formatted as a hyperlink and is used to access the relevant area page.

·        A short description of the area

This text describes the area in brief. There is space for a longer area description on the individual area pages.

·        Quick links (optional)

Quick links enable particular services to be started directly.
