Background documentation Settlement Procedure  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

SAP provides the following pre-defined settlement procedures:

·        VV2_SYNTH: Synthetic Settlement Procedure According to German Associations' Agreement Regarding Electric Energy (Monthly)

·        VV2_SCHEDU: Schedule Management According to German Associations' Agreement Regarding Electric Energy (Daily)

·        EXTANALYT: Enhanced Analytical Settlement Procedure (Optimized)

·        FINSETTL: Determining Overtake and Undertake Amounts

Caution

The following procedures are obsolete and have been replaced by the new optimized enhanced analytical procedure (EXTANALYT):

§         VV2_ANALYT: Analytical Settlement Procedure According to German Associations' Agreement Regarding Electric Energy (Monthly)

§         VV2_ANAEXT: Enhanced Analytical Settlement Procedure According to German Associations' Agreement Regarding Electric Energy (Monthly)

If you already use one of these procedures, you can continue using it. However, the disadvantage is that these procedures cannot be used to determine undertake and overtake amounts and they do not perform as well as the settlement procedure EXTANALYT.

Note

Procedures EXTANALYT and VV2_SYNTH can be used as upstream settlement procedures for determining overtake and undertake amounts (FINSETTL).

See also: Settlement procedure FINSETTL

All the procedures can be configured as a workflow and report.

For each procedure the following settlement parameters were defined:

·        Input parametersare evaluated in the settlement procedure in order to calculate the results.

·        Output parameters are recorded as the results of the settlement run.

·        Interim resultscontain the temporary results of interim calculations that provide additional processing for subsequent settlement steps.

All the input and output parameters (interim results are optional) must, together with the role defined for the settlement procedure, be allocated to an EDM profile. This occurs via the allocation to the point of delivery (see Automatic Determination of Parameters under Execute settlement step). The settlement procedure can then only be successfully completed if all the profiles for input parameters and results can be determined at runtime.

The following table summarize the parameter definition of the predefined settlement procedures.
