SSR - Service Station Retailing
This component is designed to support administration, pricing, settlement and invoicing, stock management, and reporting for retail networks, and to interface with POS (point of sale) systems and forecourt data capture systems to retrieve sales and other data on a regular basis.
SSR is part of SAP’s Service Station and Convenience Retailing solution, which supports convenience retailing, fuel management, site and headquarters accounting, business analysis and reporting.
SAP Oil & Gas provides fuel management, payment card and dealer invoicing functionality. Convenience retailing functions are handled within SAP Retail.
SSR allows you to:
● Handle different types of business model. Typical examples are: company owned, company operated; company owned, dealer operated; dealer owned, dealer operated service stations.
● Handle sales of different types of product and service
● Carry out automatic settlement with clearing houses on behalf of service station operators
● Carry out automatic invoicing of customers, including service station operators and fleet card companies
● Manage bulk fuel stocks by receiving dip reading data from business locations and creating goods movements to reconcile book and physical stock
● Handle complex pricing management within the retail network
● Produce detailed and summary reports for sales of services and products both at headquarters and at site level
● Use SAP Retail functionality for retail activity within the retail network
● Use SAP Business Information Warehouse to provide advanced data warehousing functionality
● Install a Web-based user interface at each business location to provide speedy, customer-defined access to SAP Retail and SAP Oil & Gas
