Function documentation Similarities during the Processing of Sales Documents  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Features

The sales documents have some identical functions. For example, you can use the function Presizing or Special Stock in all sales documents (for example order, quotation, contract). Another example for a common function is the incompletion log that points out that important data is missing when saving the document.

Incompletion Log

The incompletion log tells you that important data is missing in your sales document. You can also check the incompleteness of a sales document regarding AFS-specific data. In Customizing you can assign an AFS-specific incompleteness procedure to the AFS schedule lines. The settings in the standard Customizing are still valid for standard materials. If you use both AFS materials and standard materials in the sales order, you can check each material according to its own logic, regarding the incompleteness. If you want to check whether the document is completed, choose the incompletion log in the AFS logs.

Completion Rule

Using the completion rule, the system determines the status of quotations or contracts that have been used as references for other documents (for example, subsequent sales orders). In Customizing you can control for each schedule line category of the source document when the schedule line, and as a result the item of the reference document, is completed. The schedule line of a contract or quotation is completed according to one of the following criteria.

Copying Documents

You can use an existing sales document as the basis for a subsequent document. For example, your customer orders the goods according to a quotation and you create a sales order. You can create the sales order with reference to the quotation. The system then copies all data from the quotation to the order.

AFS-specific control elements in the copy control:
You can control the copying of AFS-specific data using the corresponding copy control of the documents in SD (copy control for sales documents, for deliveries, and for billing documents). The following settings of the copy control can influence the usage of AFS materials:

AFS Restrictions

AFS does not support the functions material listing and material exclusion.
