Displaying Report Overview / Controlling The End-of-Day Processing Chain 

Use

The function Overview of reports in end-of-day processing and control of an end-of-day processing chain enables you to find the status of the started end-of-day process runs. These reports provide you with more details to enable you to control runs, for example, to restart them.

Prerequisites

You can only restart a job chain if you have activated the Restart Possible indicator in Customizing under Periodic Tasks ® Include Customer Reports in Mass Processing.

Procedure

       1.      Choose Periodic Tasks ® End-of-Day Processing ® Overview.

       2.      If you require an overview of a different period, change the predefined current date as necessary.

       3.      Start the program.

The system displays a list of the runs started for end-of-day processing in the selected period with the following information:

Run date, additional identification characteristic of the chain on the run date, user who started the run, and the status.

9  At least one step terminated, restart not possible

E  Completed

W  Active or restart possible

You need to maintain this list, whereby if you want to delete entries, select them and choose Edit ® Delete. If you confirm the query, the selected entries are deleted.

       4.      Select a run and choose Detail Display.

The system displays a detailed list of the reports from this end-of-day processing run. If you can restart the end-of-day processing chain, the system displays restart and  restart individual step.

       5.      To continue processing the chain, choose Restart. If you want to continue end-of-day processing for a certain report, select this report in the list and choose Restart Individual Step.
