Employees can use this Internet Application Component (IAC) to view their own time accounts. It enables them to check at any time the status of their absence entitlements and the deadline for using them.

The service offers the following advantages:

• Employees can access information about their time accounts, such as leave taken or leave remaining, whenever they want. This function enables employees to plan their future leave or find out the period in which they must use their time off from overtime before it expires, for example.
• As a result, you reduce the overall administrative workload for the HR department and time administrators.

Check that you have set up the following authorizations:

• Transaction:

• Authorization for transaction PZ09

• If you use time evaluation:

• Authorization to execute the RPTIME00 (Time Evaluation) and SAPDBPNP (Logical Database PNP: Database program) reports
• Authorization to read the cluster tables B1, B2, PC, PS, and TX

• Infotype data:

• Authorization to read the required subtypes of the Absence Quotas infotype (2006)

Employees can use this service to check not only their current entitlement, but also a past or future entitlement. The information displayed relates to a specific key date, absence quota, and deduction period. Employees can access the following information regarding their absence entitlements:

• Total entitlement
• Entitlement already taken or remunerated
• Entitlement already requested
• Leave remaining that can be used or remunerated

The system reads the required data from the following sources:

• The results of time evaluation
• The transparent table PTQUODED (Deduction of Time Quotas)
• The Absence Quotas infotype (2006), if no time evaluation results are available for the required absence quota types

If you use time evaluation, employees can also check the quota entitlements they can expect in the future. Employees enter a key date in the future and time evaluation simulations the entitlements expected for this key date. This function is particularly useful if you periodically accrue leave entitlement according to the time that employees have worked. To be able to use this service, you must use the QUOTA function in time evaluation to accrue employees’ absence entitlements.

To determine the current level of absence entitlements, the system reads the data from the ABWKONTI table on cluster B2.

The following prerequisites must be fulfilled for the system to access the results of time evaluation:

• Employees have a Time Management status other than 0
• You have configured a schema to be used to simulate the evaluation of times in the future

• You have created a variant for time evaluation to be used by employees to run time evaluation
• You have entered the variant in the LLREP feature in the SIMF parameter

To simulate times for future periods, you can also use a simplified schema where only the quota entitlements are calculated for the future. For a model schema, see the TQTA schema (Generate Absence Quotas). If, however, you want to display a time account such as time off from overtime, you have to use a production schema.

The system reads the absence entitlements from the Absence Quotas infotype (2006) if the following prerequisites are met:

• You do not have time evaluation implemented
• The employee has the Time Management status 0 in the Planned Working Time infotype (0007)
• The required absence quota types are not accrued using the QUOTA function

You can therefore offer this service to employees for whom time evaluation is not normally run. However, employees do not in this case receive information on future entitlements. You may therefore want to consider the Absence Overview Employee Self-Service application as an alternative.
