Setting Up the Back-End Process 

Use

The Mobile Asset Management component makes it possible to execute maintenance and service processes on a mobile basis without a connection to the back-end system. This means that it is vital to configure the processes to be used on a mobile basis correctly in the back-end system.

Note that you can only process parts of the development processes available in the back end, and that these parts are restricted in use. The total process is thus composed of the mobile part that is supported by the back-end system.

Procedure

Set up the back-end system according to the functions required.

As the technical possibilities of the mobile devices are severely restricted, you should take particular note of the data volumes required when setting up the processes.

Result

The back-end system has now been set up correctly and can be used for maintenance and service processing, even without Mobile Asset Management.
